How to work efficiently

I just want to share with you what I found online while browsing. I realize these little things will make every employee/manager productive. This applies to all pinoys who wants to succeed. Lets avoid the usual negative "mamya na" attitude that some of us still practice.

  1. Step 1

Keep your desk and your files organized to avoid wasting time shuffling through piles of paper.

  2. Step 2

Go through your inbox at the beginning of each work day. Either throw away, file or follow up on each item.

  3. Step 3

Prioritize a list of the tasks you need to accomplish that day.

  4. Step 4

Delegate tasks to co-workers and assistants if possible.

  5. Step 5

Finish one task before you go on to the next.

  6. Step 6

Reduce paperwork by storing important information on your computer or electronic organizer.

  7. Step 7

Communicate effectively and plan carefully to make sure a job is done properly the first time around.

  8. Step 8

Schedule time when you'll be available, and let colleagues know, to avoid constant interruptions. Close the door if you need to.

  9. Step 9

Take breaks. A short walk or quick lunch away from the office will increase your overall productivity.

  10. Step 10

Before leaving for the day, tidy up your desk and make a short list of projects you will need to do the next day.

  11. Step 11

Try not to take work home. You need the break.

Efren Penaflorida Jr. - CNN Hero of the Year

Efren Penaflorida Jr. - CNN Hero of the Year

This is another thing that Filipinos can be proud of. Efren PeƱaflorida, who started a "pushcart classroom" in the Philippines to bring education to poor children as an alternative to gang membership, has been named the 2009 CNN Hero of the Year.

Filipinos are truly gifted, after Charice, Pacquiao now here comes Efren. I hope with these extraordinary achievements, the next in line would be our Philippine Economy. It'll be nice to see our country moving up on Top Ten rising economy all over the world. If we achive that, I hope I'm still alive by then.
